Summary:
Under the direction of the Head Start Director, assist in planning, organizing, and monitoring of facilities and transportation areas to ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local standards.

GOALS OF THE POSITION All facilities will meet federal, state, and local licensing requirements.
All bus routes will meet all federal, state, and local licensing requirements.
All health, safety, or maintenance concerns will be handled promptly to minimize interruptions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Follow and implement the program guidelines prescribed by Head Start, Childcare Licensing, WV Board of Education, Health Department, the Agency, and other regulating agencies.
Maintain a positive cultural environment.
Reports all child abuse/neglect cases following the agency's policies/procedures.
Participate in program quality improvement activities such as self-assessment, ongoing monitoring, strategic planning, etc.
Annually arrange and conduct Health and Safety screenings within the first 45 days of school and provide follow-up visits as needed.
Lead quarterly Safety Team meetings to address health and safety concerns, identify trends, establish policies/procedures, etc.
Prepare, advertise, and award bids according to policies/procedures.
Coordinate facilities maintenance with inspectors, contractors, Operations Coordinator, Center Directors, and Maintenance Technician Directs, supervises and evaluates the maintenance personnel and Operations Coordinator Maintains a Five-Year Facilities Plan and SDS Booklets Ensure facilities licenses, insurance, inspections, and other required permits are maintained to comply with all regulatory requirements.
Maintain up-to-date facilities tracking systems and follow-up documentation for safety scans, work orders, licenses, etc.
Arrange for repairs, maintenance, and annual inspections of all school buses and other Head Start vehicles as needed.
Complete Onboarding Evaluations with all Commercial Driver License employees annually Approves all bus routes to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
Maintains an up-to-date transportation tracking system for vehicle maintenance, repairs, inspections, registration cards, insurance cards, etc.
Collaborate with the Center Director to address monitoring concerns.
Provides professional development opportunities that meet all regulatory requirements.
Perform minor repairs or drive a bus as needed.

Possesses an in-state Class C Commercial Driver's License or can obtain one within three months of being hired.
Possesses Certified CDL Instructor Certification or can obtain certification.
Minimum of two years of closely related work experience preferred.
General familiarity with Microsoft Office and data entry programs A valid CDL Class C driver's license or able to obtain within three months of hire and proof of liability insurance Acceptable pre-employment criminal background check, protective service record check, sex offender check, substance abuse screening, driving record, etc.
Continue to pass all employment screenings.
Regular physical examinations documenting job fitness.
Able to obtain/retain a Certified CPR/First Aid Instructor Certification within five months of hire Complete OSHA and Lead Testing Training Able to obtain/retain National Program for Playground Safety:
